Mostra les facetes d’aquesta categoria històrica des de l’epidermis dels imperis fins a les fronteres interiors o les mentals i culturals, subratllant la rellevància de l’anàlisi de variades formes de trobades i converses culturals per explicar aquest fenomen fronterer més enllà del marc que ofereixen els paradigmes tradicionals., This article highlights the historical polysemy of the concept of frontier. It analyses specific aspects of the phenomenon in Iberian societies of the Ancien Regime, as well as their projection in terms of overseas cultural horizons.
